Why a bet is voided and what happens to your stake
A bet is voided when the sportsbook decides it can't be settled normally, for example because the match was postponed, a player withdrew before the start, or the odds were displayed wrongly. The stake goes back to your balance with no win and no loss. The exact reason is set by the sportsbook provider's rules, and the status is visible in your bet history.

Postponed, moved or abandoned matches
The sportsbooks on SlotKaki come from providers such as SBO, IBC, BTi, CMD and WBET. Each one has its own rule on how long a match can be delayed before bets are cancelled.
- Open your bet history and find the slip. A status of "Void", "Cancelled" or "Refund" means the stake was returned.
- Open the Rules section of the sportsbook you used, then the section for that sport.
- Look for the rules on postponement, change of venue and abandoned matches.
- Check the competition's official schedule for the new date, then compare it with the window the rules allow.
A bet that has gone void is not carried over to the new date automatically. If you still want a position on that match, you'll need to place a fresh bet once the market reopens, and the odds then may be different.
An abandoned match doesn't necessarily void every market. Take an example: you back Over 1.5 first-half goals, two goals go in before the break, and the match is then abandoned in the 60th minute. The first-half market was already decided, so it is normally settled as a win, while a full-time Asian Handicap bet would usually be void.
When a badminton or tennis player withdraws
In sports like badminton and tennis, the result rests on one player or one pair. A withdrawal affects bets differently depending on when it happens.
| When the player withdraws | Usual effect |
|---|---|
| Before the match starts | Match bets are usually void |
| After the start, market already decided | That market settles as normal, such as a first-set winner when the set was completed |
| After the start, market not yet decided | Depends on the provider: void, or settled in favour of the player who advances |
- Find out exactly when the withdrawal happened from the match report.
- Compare that with your provider's "retirement" or "walkover" rule.
- Check each market separately, because one slip can hold both settled and void selections.
Wrongly displayed odds and obvious pricing errors
Now and then odds appear incorrectly, say 15.00 when the real market sits around 1.50. Provider rules usually allow such bets to be cancelled or resettled at the correct price.
- Read the note on the slip or in your bet history. It may mention a "pricing error" or "palpable error".
- If you have a screenshot, compare the odds on your slip with the same market at that time.
- For in-play bets, a bet accepted after an event, such as a goal, can also be cancelled. The reasons are covered in in-play betting: moving odds, cash out and bet delays.
Cancellations of this kind sometimes come after the final whistle, because the review happens later. If your balance changes after a bet was settled, look in the bet history for a resettlement note.
How the money from a void bet comes back
A void single returns the full stake to your balance, with no profit. That is different from a push and from the half results of Asian Handicap quarter lines.
| Result | Cause | Example: RM20 at odds of 1.90 |
|---|---|---|
| Void | Bet cancelled | RM20 returned |
| Push | Score lands exactly on the handicap line | RM20 returned |
| Half win | Quarter line, e.g. -0.25 | RM10 x 1.90 + RM10 = RM29 |
| Half loss | Quarter line | RM10 returned |
In a parlay, a void leg is normally dropped and the odds recalculated. For example, a RM10 parlay at 1.90, 2.00 and 1.80: if the second leg is void, the new odds are 1.90 x 1.80 = 3.42, so the return if the other two win is RM34.20. Other parlay rules are covered in sportsbook troubleshooting.
Void bets may not count towards bonus turnover or deposit turnover. Check the terms in your account.
A void you think was a mistake
- Read the provider's rules for that sport and market first. Most disputes end here.
- Collect the bet ID, date and time, market, odds and stake from your bet history.
- Take screenshots of the slip and its void status.
- Note the source of the match result you are relying on.
If it still fails: send those details through live chat after logging in, or by email to [email protected]. Support can check with the sportsbook provider, but the final decision follows that provider's rules.
Frequently asked questions
Do void bets count towards turnover?
Usually not, because a void bet is treated as if it never happened and the stake is returned. That can affect bonus turnover conditions as well as the 1x deposit turnover rule. Check the terms in your account for the rule that applies to your promotion.
Why was my bet cancelled after the match had finished?
Sportsbook providers sometimes review results after a match, for instance when odds turn out to have been displayed wrongly or an in-play bet was accepted after an event. The bet history normally shows a resettlement note with the reason.
What is the difference between a void bet and a push?
Both return your stake, but for different reasons. A void means the bet was cancelled, for example because the match was postponed. A push happens when the match is played and the score lands exactly on the Asian Handicap or Over/Under line.
